Default Starter cover to view the flywheel?

I removed one bolt and have it loose but it doesn't want to come out. Is there another bolt that I have to get undone or do I just manhandle it?

Its a ring...not a U. It's a solid piece with a hole for the starter. You can bend it a little to see the flywheel, but in order to get to the bolts or see it closely, you have to drop the starter. It's 2 13mm bolts. You'll need a 6" extension to get the one closer to the engine.

I suppose you could cut it so that next time you don't have to pull the starter but I wouldn't recommend it because of the ability for debris to get in there.
