I traded my Holley intake for a ported LS6 intake. Guy told me who did it but I don't remember who and how but I do know that it looks really good, and can be done!!

Thanks monkeyboy, no hard feelings over the rear, even know I skidded the dawn thing up and spent over an hour researching the shipping. Yea well I know your situation, and it's all good.

All it takes is a drill with an extension and the flappy sandpaper polishers. Of course you need to know where to port and how not to burn a hole in the intake. Mine was ported, and I see two places where epoxy was used to fix the holes...then again I know 3 people that have ported LS6 intake...and each one has at least one repair. I've never had a problem due tot he repair however. Cartek will port them for you and I think its like $300 or so. When mine was done there was enough plastic on the floor to fill a coffee cup (mostly air).

I have no idea as per my gains as the H/C was done at the same time. I was told to expect 4-6 HP

I've done several of them now. I take enough plastic out to fill a coffee CAN it seems like,

I used a couple step method..rough the port work in using an air powered die grinder then use my dremel to do the detail and smooth work.

I think I do a nice job and so has everyone that's seen them, will have someone take some pics next time I have my intake off.
