Default ls1 idling low And dying

okay this morning I drove my trans am to school which is about 50 miles and it ran fine but when I went to leave my car was idling less than 500 rpm and would die unless I gave it gas , but after about 5 miles it was fine. the spark plugs and wires and fuel filter are newer . any ideas ? oh I also have headers and still haven't had the rear o2s tuned out

Is there and SES light on the car? It sounds like an IAC motor might be bad or dirty. I would try taking it out and cleaning it with some carb cleaner and seeing if that helps. If not, you can hook a scanner up to it and see if it is working or not. If not, just replace it.
