Default Carb conversion questions..HELP!

I recently bought a salvaged '05 silverado 5.3 that will be going in an '86 shortbed. I'm wanting to convert to Carb for multiple reasons.

The truck will mainly be a cruiser but optimizing the power output is also wanted.

I plan on keeping everything about the engine stock.

I have a few questions that maybe some experienced folks could answer.

I'm wanting to keep the stock coil packs in lieu of a distrubutor. Which MSD ignition should i go with....the one with the 6 preprogrammed "pills" or the one that cab be adjusted with a labtop? Keep in mind the motor will be stock...no power adders, or internal work.

Also what carb have you guys gone with for a near stock application?

Thanks

Get the MSD 6010 or 6012 Not positive which one youll need, it depends on how many tooth the crank trigger wheel has on the 05 engine. You want the one that can be programmed by a laptop, the pre-programmed pills have WAY too much timing in them.

I have an '05 6.0 and will be purchasing the 6010. You can use pills or program with a laptop...it is the best of both worlds.
A 600 carb will be more than enough for a stock-ish 5.3.
