Question How hard is it to change motor mounts?

'99 Z28 6-speed. Special tools required? Any time-saving or pain-saving tips?

i changed my mounts and it was a major PITA. there wasn't hardly any room at all there. you have to remove the alternator for the drivers side and the ac for the passenger side. it took me the better part of the afternoon just to do the drivers side. of course, i had longtubes hanging right in my way, so if you still have factory manifolds it should make things easier. the only tools i needed were basic ratchets and extensions. also used some of those universal joint things to get at wierd angles.

I have the factory "header-like" manifolds (before they went to cast iron manifolds). I wonder if that would make it a bit easier than longtubes?

If you have a lift and a good variety of tools its not bad at all.
