I need to pass smog to sell my car. it has stock exhaust manifolds with the AIR and EGR hooked up. also stock intake manifold. The only thing i can see being wrong is that i dont have anything after my stock y pipe. its just open exhaust. Does the muffler really do that much? Ill have four o2 sensors and everything.

yeah you will pass with a catback exhaust only providing you have "no service engine soon light on"

pass with or without? no check engine light, but i am throwing a maf code and i have no clue why! ...doesnt make a check engline light light up, though.

Go buy a can of MAFS cleaner and clean out MAFS, also go over the k&n with some paper-towels and get the excess oil out of it.

Any obd2 car will pass a test for monitor ready if the SES light is not on. If you have an SES light it is an automatic FAIL. If your state has VISUAL inspection and a no tamper law the vehicle must be stock on the visual inspection. Clean the MAF or replace it to clear the SES light. I change many MAF sensors on these engines
