Default exhaust leak

hey will an exhaust leak effect the way your exhaust sound and gas mileage? its leaking by the band clamp on the driver side header where it meets the y pipe

yes, it'll lower your gas mileage, and GOD, I hate the sound of exhaust leaks!

Yes you can hear an exhaust leak and it will effect mileage. Depending on how bad it is, if the O2 sensor is reading more air it can cause the computer to put more fuel in to ensure the motor is not seeing a lean condition.

dame then i better hurry and tac it up then thanx oh one more thing.do anybody ever heard of a gm performance converter? iam askin cause the guy at gm sellin it for 200$

Stay away from it like a plague. Go with either Yank/Circle D/Vigilante.

I've never head of anyone running one. I would go with a reputable performance converter company.
