Default Powerbond balancer heavier then stock?!

I was got my power bond 10% balancer pulley last night.

When I compared the stock balancer, the powerbond felt heavier , what gives?

I dont have a scale to check the exact weights.

Also I noticed the LS6 doesnt have a key in the crank . The pulley just sits right on there tight, kindof suprised me.

These are a press fit pulley/damper. A key way is needed mainly for FI. After you install it and TQ the bolt. you will see it wont slip.

Ya, just wierd the powerbond has a keyway slot. They must use it on a diffrent LS motor that does use a key way ?
other then that the balancers are identical and I got a new GM balancer bolt to go with it..

It gives you the option to key your crank to match.

that makes sence. I was just alittle nervus when I first opened the box, though maybe it was the wrong pulley.

F body pullies are specific. I dont think they can be interchanged with other LS motors bc of the acc drive differences.
