LS1 price question Playing with the idea of buying a forged LS3 so my quesiton is, What do LS1's generally sell for providing they are used? The car has 40,000 miles on it, there is nothing wrong with it at all, just want to go for a forged engine in prep for boost. not looking for anything exact just curious so I can better plan my budget

I would say with that low of miles, that you could sell the short-block alone for at least 850 on up, Depends on how you go about it, You will need parts off of it for the other engine more than likely. The long block will fetch more. These are just estimates, from what I have seen others go for. Depending on the year of your car yours may be the LS6 not the LS1.

It's currently still in my car, nothing wrong with it at all and Im deployed to Iraq so its not coming out in the near future. I'm just trying to get an idea because Im most likely going with a forged 385ci. Thanks for the responses if anyone else has input don't hesitate to chime in
