ok so i bought a motorad 160 degree thermostat for my 02 z28, went to install it and the 2 tabs on the new housing that hold the thermostat in place are to wide to go into the hole where the thermostat seats, i have no clue what to do cuz from what i hear they make the slp and hypertech thermostats also, has anyone had this problem, is there something i should know? let me know please

my hypertech came with the housing .........so I dont have a clue how you would put in jus the T stat

i believe you have an ls2 t-stat. the thermostat and housing should be one piece for an ls1.
