Default SLP Loudmouth + LT's & OR Y pipe

I have a set of Pacesetter longtube headers and an offroad TSP Y pipe being delivered Monday. My car currently has the original Loudmouth catback system on it and it sounds good right now and is fairly loud. I was wondering how the LTs and OR Y is going to affect me...I know itll be loud, but will it be "too loud"? As in "cant hold a conversation while cruising down the road due t excessive drone" loud? I dont necessarily mind a rowdy exhaust...just wondering what I should expect.

Thanks!

When I go with LT's + ORY, I'll have to deal with the same thing too. Can anyone elaborate on the Dynomouth solution I keep hearing about?

dynomouth is taking the pointless resonator out of the SLP LM1 and installing a dynomax bullet in its place.

if its the system that came stock on the vehicle, then you have a muffler (in the position of the original GM muffler) not the resonator that the aftermarket systems come with. i don't think it'll be as loud as the aftermarket LM1 and LM2

gonna be loud and raspy as hell! but you may like and you may not. if you dont like it,get yourself two thunderbolt high flow cats welded into your y pipe = still loud as **** and no rasp.

What about just swapping out the muffler in the cat back? Not a fan of "the rasp". :/

Well from what I have read in many threads they said that mufflers like the Borla XR-1 muffler magnaflow bullet muffler or just any of the bullet style mufflers that can go on there, will "reduce" rasp but not fully take it away. Me personally I can't wait to get LT and ORY for my SLP LM1, but I guess I'm just one of the few ha. Also go to youtube and litsen to Detoxx's Trans am with Borlamouth when he had it, AMAZING sound! Rasp and all! Also I did hear a Longtube headers with ORY and LM2 not to long ago at a car show and wow, it sounded great. Its not to loud just driving around but when I got up behind it and he revved it one good time and it really screamed!

Are you referring to putting a bullet style muffler in place of the resonator, not the actual muffler in the system? Detoxx's car sounds like it has a cam maybe?

Here's mine with LT+ORY+LM2. The smoke is from the car being untuned, this was about a week after i got the LT's & ORY installed.

From what ive read, the LM2 is just as loud @ WOT but quieter at cruise levels. I can still hold a conversation when cruising or on the highway at 80mph. Ill be switching it out to a GMMG system with CME. It'll be louder but dont bother me, ill just throw some cats into the y pipe.

i have long tubes and custom y pipe and LM2 its sounds really agressive at WOT but when driving normal and at low rpms the rasp and drone can get annoying. I guess it evens out because it sounds really good when steping on it and also get compliments. best way to get rid of the rasp is just to drive with your foot down on the pedal all the way all day everyday lol.
