We are trying to tune a 98 T/A with SCT xcal 3. But it wont take the tune and SCT says you can only tune 99-up cars. Can we put a 99-up computer in this car and if so will the factory theft system work.

You can. But, you either need to swap the harness, or re-pin the connectors for the computer.

We can also tune it with HP tuners but we are trying to work with SCT on getting some tune files for LSX cars at the same time.
