Default Car wont start suddenly...

audreys 02 ws6..

she came home thursday night and parked in garage as per normal.

friday morning it wont start.

its got plenty of battery. lights, alarm, etc are all strong. on the charger none the less just to iliminate that. when you turn the key half way you here the fuel pump prime. but when you turn the key all the way nothing. not a ping, pop, click or nothing just silence. the gauges do kinda move when you turn the key all the way.
ive tried her spare keys and it does the same thing.

any ideas?

no check engine light or anything i assume? hmmm with out actually having the car in front of me it's hard to diagnose. did you check fuses, starter wires, sensor connections, relays etc etc? thats where i would start.

update. security light on dash is flashing. as is the LED on top of the dash....

i checked the same start up sequence on my car and my security light comes on solid for a few seconds when you turn the key half way and then goes out. LED stays off.

hers security light stays flashing, and so does the dash LED.

her SES light has been on for a few weeks but for other reasons (i assume)

after doing mroe reseach that appears to be the case. just sent audrey to radio shack with her two keys, and a multi meter to do the old resister trick.

from what ive read a flashing security light = disabled starter from vats.
which adds up to her symtoms. any way to reset this? without doing the resistor thing?
