lq4 with l92 heads
hello to all my ls1tech friends. i hope someone can help me. i want to install the l92 heads on my lq4 but want to if anyone is using the square port truck intake? the reason for this is the placement of accessories like the alternator/power streering bracket & the sanden/kwik performance ac setup. im currently running a stock 5.3/4l60e in a '87 c10 with this setup. there is no interference with the throttle body now. but if i used the low profile l76/ls3intake, there could be interference problems. any help would be appreciated.

it will. the truck accessories have the idler pulley right below the throttle body, and the truck intake needs to be used. unless you switch to LS1 accessories (C5 or F-body) you will have to stick with the truck intake.
obviously your 5.3 intake wont work on the L92 heads, but the L92 truck intakes can be had resaonably cheap compared to the LS3/L76 intakes.

thanks bww3588. for those who dont know, the truck intake looks cool. when i build my cars/trucks, i build for torque. who races hot rods anyway? torque is king when moving heavy vehicles out the hole. thats the main reason why the GENERAL has been so popular. they build engines that moves the masses. can anyone say sbc 400.
