will the iron 6.0l heads work on an ls1? i am putting an ls1 in a 00 gmc truck (had a 6.0l) and i wanna use the original iron heads 317? i think? to drop compression so he wont have to run premium fuel. will those heads work with the smaller bore and stock ls1 head gaskets? and what do you think the compression would be?

iron heads on an Aluminum block??
sounds like the old cadillac HT4100 from the 80's...
aluminum 317's are going for so cheap these days, I'd just pick up a set of those, just so I would have to lug around those heavy *** iron heads.
