can stock springs handle 1.8s?

Default can stock springs handle 1.8s?

i have a 5.3 and was wondering if i could put 1.8 rockers on them until i get a custom grind cam and nice springs. i shift at 6000 so i want to make sure i wont get valve float. thanks guys

1.8's wouldnt be a good investment because its not recommended to use them on most aftermarket cams. plus i think power gains will be minimal at most 10 maybe 15 hp. i think patrick g got a 13 horsepower gain with 1.85 rockers on his 6.0. gains on a 5.3 would be even less.

I wouldn't run anything but stock on stock springs.
