Damaged muffler?
I'm looking to get a Borla cat-back system, and I found a good deal on one, but the catch is the muffler has a dent in it. It doesn't look too bad, just like they backed up on a curb or something and bent in the side of the muffler on one half. So my question is, will this affect the sound at all? Or is it really just cosmetic?

Depends, it could have broken a weld on one of the internal baffles. While this may not make it sound different, it could make rattling noises. Hopefully with a high quality muffler this wouldn't be a big risk. I say examine it closely, as it could possibly be just cosmetic.

Okay, thanks for the info. It's off of eBay, so its anybody's guess if anything rattles inside =/. Too big of a risk for me. I think I'm just going to end up saving up some more money for a new cat-back system.
