Default DR44G Alternator wiring

I have a newer style truck DR44G alternator with the 2 pin oval plug. On my harness I have the older 4 pin with one red wire (99 T/A)
I can not find a straight answer or an adapter plug to make this work.
Is this possible if so how should I wire it.
I have read suggesting the use of a 470ohm (1/2watt)... but nothing definitive.
