got a sunpro temp gauge off my friend, he was using it for water temp. but it for water/oil temp. my ? is can i use it for tranny temp. need help asap

moving to External, but you would need a trans temp gauge.

Is this a mechanical gauge? I personally prefer an electric gauge with a sending unit. They have them cheap enough on ebay and the like. I personally chose Cyberdyne red LED gauges. They have a lifetime warranty and are reasonably priced. I have replaced a couple bc of the LED characters acting up, but they always send me new gauges without any fuss.

Yeah, they are Mechanical gauges if they are the ones I am thinking of. They are dirt cheap.
