Ls1 Head & Cam help
I am new to ls1 tech so any help would be appreciated! I am in the process of doing a head cam swap. 1999 ss m6,LT, lid, ls6 intake, spec 3 clutch, billet flywheel,no cats, borla, frost tune. I was wanting to stick with new ls6 12564824 heads and possibly asa cam. I would like low to mid range power. Not all of it at 6200. Would like to find a cam suitable for the ls6 12586484 Valve Springs

Frost does some good tunes but for a head and cam swap you really need to get it on the dyno,a mail order tune is just to get you to the dyno imho, unless its a bolt on car.you will also wanna change the springs and rods there is no really getting around that, call Tsp they have the best deals on head and cam packages and they will set ya up with everything you need, you should maybe look into a 224,or 228 cam, seems to be what you are looking for,but I would call texas speed and talk with them . Also think ahead what are your plans down the road

get some used 243s $400 from the used parts section,or go to a ls vett forum.Damian has a great cam that makes alot of power where you want it at,and it works with ls6 springs. It will make way more power then a ASA cam.get some good push rods also.
