Ls1 with lq9 harness
I have a lq9 harness. A guy is building lsx. I can't remember what he said. He either said c5 vette or 05 vette. So just to make sure, is this harness (03 escalade) at all compatable with either ls1 or 2

There are two major types of harnesses used on LSx engines. GEN III and GEN IV. LS1/6/LM7/LQ4/LQ9 are all GEN III. They have two large aluminum connectors on a large PCM. The cam sensor is located on the rear china wall, knock sensors located in the lifter valley. LS2/3/7/9/L76/L99/LY6 etc are GEN IV notable with the cam sensor mounted on the timing cover and external knocks
You can interchange them with various adapter kits or simply swapping a bunch of parts. If I were you, I wouldnt bother trying to make something work. Build/buy the harness last once the engine and everything has been decided

Sorry wrote that in a hurry. Let me clarify. I since realized the difference between lll and lV.
I have a clean harness from 03 escalade lq9. Can it be used on a gen lll lsx build or will it need to be modified.
Trying to sell it so ii want to know how it can be used
