No modifications needed at all. Just replace the back valley cover bolt with the provided button head bolt and you will be fine. Should seat and fit like stock. Just installed mine about a month ago.

Looks pretty man. So the manifold just laid on top of the lines and you didn't change anything ?

Be careful of the oil pressure sensor in back when you remove your old manifold. The hose going to the brake booster will hang it and break it. Trust me I know. lol

Yeah, despite being careful I broke mine too when trying to remove it. Best advise I can give you is to just buy a Sending Unit before you even remove the stock one. The years of the plastic being heated and cooled under the engine bay makes the plastic that much more fragile.

Just remember to get some pieces of rubber hoses for the intake bolts in the back because they wont come out all the way because of the windshield cowl
,just in case you didnt know that already! Good Luck!

Slit 4, 1in. long 3/8 fuel hose to hold up the rear bolts while you jockey the intake into position as the back 4 bolts can't be installed with the intake sitting on the engine. The coolant lines need to be the LS6 2 plug in the rear with the crossover only in the front and button head or low profile bolts to secure the valley cover. Have fun.

I will be doing this aswell in the next couple weeks. Should I go ahead and get the LS6 coolant lines or stick with the stockers? I have a 2000.

LOL @ rubber hose

OR

You can just get some rubber bands and wrap one band around the head of each bolt opposite sides of each other. It's easy and holds them stationary out of the holes till you can pull the whole intake out.

Did you just give them little taps and they went down the two holes?

Default BBK Intake

Had no problems installing mine. Broke the plastic piece at the back but had one on hand to replace it with. Also had to tap down one of the coolant lines at the back but other than that no problems.

As far as what everyone is saying about the plastic oil pressure sender in the back. Go get an $8 socket to fit it, and remove it before the intake comes off.. It IS POSSIBLE to remove the sender before you take off the intake. I have done it several times. Save that $40
