Default Intake question

I was wondering what truck intake will fit on a 2000 camaro ls1 engine. Not wanting to do it or anything like that. I am just wondering what intake will fit. Lm7, L76, L92 or what. Any help would be appreciated.

LM7 is the only intake that will work on an LS1 (LM7 and LS1 are generation 3 engines with cathedral intake ports)

The L76 and L92 intakes (Generation 4 engines) are for use only on 6.0L (LS2,LQ9 or LQ4 as long as you have L76 or L92 heads on the LQ4 or LQ9 shortblock) or 6.2L (L76, L92, LS3, L99 which all are again Generation 4 engines)

Just to confuse you a little more the LQ9 intake (basically same as LM7 intake) will also fit the ls1 because the LQ9/LQ4 are both generation 3 engines. The 6.0L can fit the generation 4 heads because they have the same bore spacing as the 6.0L

The ls2 is techincally a generation 4, but still uses the cathedral ports...it is considered a generation 4 because it has the cam sensor in the front timing cover rather than the rear of the block like all gen 3 engines (LR4-4.8L, LM7, LS1, LS6, LQ9, LQ4, there are also a few others like aluminum 5.3 L33, etc.)

Hope that clears it up for you....

Just look at your sig pic. Do you think a intake that is several inches taller is going to fit under your hood or cowl?
