Default Exhaust pipe stretching question

I'm looking to change my exhaust tips and I know a guy that's got a nice set of corsa clones for sale near me. Problem is they are 2.25" inlet to 3.5" out, and I have a loudmouth which is 2.5" pipe. So the question is can I safely stretch the inlets on the tips a whole quarter inch, from 2.25" to 2.5"?

Are they stainless tips, if they are stainless ,they can split going that much.If they are chrome it will peel the plating off.I would pass on those and get the right size.

Agree with Joe.

I took my TSP stainless y's merge to get it stretched an was warned about it cracking. I thought maybe if it was heated, it would work. I was still warned not to.

Get the 2.5" inlets.

You can slightly flare one end and slightly crimp the other to get them to mate. Or, you could just take it to an exhaust shop and have them do it. They have solid ring adapters that mate different size pipes. Guy did it for me on the old lady's truck when I put exhaust on it. The tip I picked out didn't match the tailpipe diameter.

Oh well. I had a feeling it wouldn't work. Thanks for the input.
