Default What is this assembly over the drivers valve cover?

I bought this car recently and am trying to clean up all of its loose ends. Mods are in my signature. What is this assembly in the red circle? Its not even bolted down to anything.

Chunk it and plug the vacuum hose.

It is a solenoid that controls vacuum to the big round AIR valve in the back that it looks like you don't have anyway. It normally has a small vac line to the back of the intake, and another line to the AIR valve.

Correct. The previous owner disabled the AIR system. I say disabled because, as you can see, parts of it are still physically on the car, including the pump behind the drivers head light that I will soon chuck as well.
