I need to pull off my LS1 style coolant crossover line, in order to swap out the valley cover.

My question is...how much coolant do i need to drain out first, and where is a convient place to drain it? Engine is a 2004 LQ4 inside an LS1 car.

should be a drain plug at the bottom of the radiator .
