Default Header and duals question

I'm ordering my duals over the weekend, and my LT's has been sitting in the box for like the past month, beckoning for me to put them on, and I'm wondering what else I need to order for when I install them. I got the o2 extensions, I'm going to be ordering the rear o2 sims, and manifold gaskets, EGR block off plates (how many of these do I need? 1?). Where do I get the exhaust hangers at and how many of these should I get? And what do I do with the AIR? I have a 2000 TA with the stock exhaust system. I want to get a dyno tune also, but I don't know of a place around here that does them.

What kind of duals did ya order?
You have just about everything down, yes only one EGR block plate and you will probably want an AIR block plate as well. The whole air system is junk, take it out and lock it off as well.
Exhaust hangers, i usually order mine through summit or jegs when I order everything else, but any basic auto parts store will carry them for $8-$14 each.
The number of hangers to get, thats gonna depend on how your exhaust gets routed you'll just have to see what your plan is and then buy as many as needed

I got a question. I'll be removing the AIR and EGR and I still have the LS1 intake. Will that pose any problems?

No...All you need is the block off plates. The hangers come with tsp. Are you refering to TSP duals? Get a mail order tune and delete your rear 02s. Theirs no need for a dyno with boltons. (Frost tune sponser here) and you should look into an ls6 intake while doing this if money permits...it's a good time to ditch the shitty ls1 intake with air/erg.

i got TSP LTs and getting TSP duals. LS6 intake, throttle body P/P, a lid, and a frost tune are next on my list for upgrades after i save up more money. and then gears. Your setup looks nice btw.

You should get tunned from frost right after your header/dual combo. Erg/air rear 02s deleted, you'll be running very rich= poor gass mileage...It'll run alot better afterwords.

Lol good thinking about the tune. I already spend $20 a day for gas. I'll look into it. As for motor mounts, solid or poly? If I go one way, say solid or poly, would I have to change my transmission mounts too?

Poly, and you don't have to do tranny mounts. Motor mounts are cheap go take care of vibration and header/ypipe floor board tapping...also keeps your motor from moving on hard wot stabbs....If your not doing them yourself motor mounts will cost you 300$+ because their a pita.

What's the average instal time with doing a header install and changing motor mounts with the engine still in the car and/or dropping the engine? And will the prothane motor mounts off of ws6 store work? and Mr. 01transampower, how do you like the jaam air kit as compared to a lid, CAI, K&N's FIPK, or whatever else I can't think of?

If it is your first install, you're looking at anywhere from 8-10 hours give or take a couple of breaks you take during the process. We did mine on my WS6 in about 8 hours, maybe 6.5 of actual working... God damn it was hot that day!!!

You only really need the block off plate for the manifold (EGR). The rear O2 sims are a waste because I don't believe you have a bung to put them in. You're just going to end up unclipping your rear O2's from the harness. Since you are getting a tune you will end up having them tuned out, and you will save some money.

EDIT: Remember to pull those AIR fuses from your fuse box under the hood if you don't completely remove the entire unit from within the bumper. It makes an incredibly annoying vacuum sound.

How much time added on to the 8-10 hours to change motor mounts?

It's going to be hot here for sure the day everything gets installed.. Luckily a couple buddies of mine are coming over and I always have beer.

That's not so bad. From what I read about changing motor mounts it sounded like it's an all day event in itself
