Thumbs down cracked side walls on oem ls1 intake manifold normal?

In the process of swapping the ls1 to ls6 intake manifold. Took the ls1 intake off and noticed there were a lot of dead pine needles and leaves in between the cravasses of the runners on the lower intake manifold. I also noticed some of the rubber gaskets as well as the thin plastic sidewalls on the port holes on the ls1 intake manifold cracked and would of caused a huge disruption of air going into the motor!
i'll try to post some pics of what im referring to. anyone else had this happen when they removed the oem ls1 intake manifold off their car?

Lol, I thought I was crazy man. When I went to do this swap my runners were full of dirt and leaves, I didn't have any cracks but it sure was dirty under there.
