performer rpm vs ls6
i'm considering changing my ls6 intake out for a performer rpm. granted they dont make a EFI performer so i'm wondering how would i benefit if i tapped the intake for fuel injectors and ran an elbow and throttle body. i can get the intake pretty cheap so i figured it'd be worth a try. the engine is a cam only 5.3. i figured the carb style intake would be a decent upgrade over the ls6 intake. Any one tried this or similar before...........i need some other opinions

I'd say if you can get the intake cheap, go for it. Sell the LS6 to offset cost. Fuel rails, machining for the fi bungs, welding, making provisions for the rail mounts. I've thought about this in depth, too. All I have is the LS1 intake so, I'm in the hunt for alternatives still. By all means let us know if you do it.
