I had dual cutouts right off my headers on my old car...picked up 21rwhp on back to back dyno pulls open vs closed, over my loudmouth 1 catback on that car. No graphs or anything though, it was just to shut up a naysayer friend who believed cutouts were a waste of time...LOL!

Cutouts are usually worth a tenth or better at the strip. Can be more depending on setup.

You can always put a cutout in and uncap it for the strip only.

On a Mustang dyno opening mine allowed another 21HP. It's been open for 3 years.

I gained 9rwhp from mine over the open plate in my borla. That was before I had LT's though. Just cat-back and lid.

As far as gains go, it doesn't matter if they are manual or electric or even cable style...that is just your preference on whether you want to crawl under to open and close or push a button. I have had both though.

I gained 7whp/5wtq by opening my cutout on back to back dyno pulls over my corsa catback which is known to be fairly free flowing. On more restrictive catbacks the difference will be even bigger.
