Exclamation Myth or Fact

My friend told me when I was building my 1979 Camaro that all motor mounts are in the same place. So that any SBC will just drop in and bolt in. For some reason that sounds all too easy. I was going from a GMPP 350 2 barrel "gas saver" to a LS376/515 motor. I was going to keep it carbed for the muscle car feel. never did it but I never got my question answered about doing any SBC swap in any camaro. or is just true for all LSX engines and LSX cars?

Ls engines an classic sbc have different motor mount points. although there are probably pre made engine swap mounts made so you can bolt it in.

Car shop has some nice plates that will allow you to use sbc style mounts with an fbody oil pan. They work great
