Default Belt Squeal

So I get a squeal, not at idle but if I rev it or if I'm driving. I have pinpointed the source to the alternator. Question is can just the pulley be replaced or does the whole alternator. Alternator still puts out the right amount of voltage, no lights dim, just get that squeal. Thanks

Is it for sure the alternator squeeling or the belt? If it is in fact the alternator you could possibly take it to a specialty shop to have it repaired but honestly it would probably cost around the same to purchase a new or remanufactured one from a parts store. I would make sure it wasnt the belt causing the issue first though.

I tried spraying wd on the pulley itself and the sound goes away, guess i'm going to have to replace the alternator
