Question LS2 vs. LS6 intake

I just saw a post on eBay for an LS2 intake for a pretty decent price. Now, the guy says that the LS2 and LS6 are pretty much the same thing and that the LS2 is just a cheaper version of the LS6. Opinion? Facts to the contrary? If it is the same thing i would rather just get the LS2 intake and move on with my life.

Thanks in advance,

Endrance

I would say that a stock unported LS2 intake is not worth the trouble, might be a very slight upgrade from your LS1 at best. However, once ported the LS2 can definitely flow decently, better than an LS6 in most cases.

Well, on top of the porting, you have to get a few extra things in order to make the LS2 intake work, such as another TB and cable bracket and I believe even a map extension and LS2 fuel rails. Getting an LS2 on the car will likely end up being both more involved and expensive when compared to just getting an LS6 and a ported TB.
