need to pull power steering pump...HELP!!

Default need to pull power steering pump...HELP!!

I'm in th emiddle of heads....I need to pull the power steering pump...

How do I get this thing off...Help

Go rent one of these at autozone for free. http://www1.autozone.com/servlet/UiB...ing_pulley.jsp Pull the pulley off and you can get to the mounting bolts on the pump.

D/C the pump fromt the PS rack... pull one hose off the pump.. take it off the car with the head.. just get the bottom two bolts out then u do the top bolt 1/4 turn at a time... can get a lil trick but it works...

I don't understand the difficulty. Bottom bolt is easy to get to. The top two just need an open-ended wrench. Just do each a little until they both come out.

Yea.. The bottom one is easy. Getting the top 2 just takes a little time with an open ended wrench. You also save yourself the hassle of bleeding the entire power steering system.

The 2 13mm bolts behind the pulley that hold the pump to the head bracket are much easier and quicker to get to, IMO. One 13mm gear wrench and <5 mins the pump is off the bracket.
