Default Intake Manifold Data

Been hanging back on deciding which manifold to buy for my existing 427 we are running a LS6 but have run out of capacity over 5000 rpm.

It has been very disappointing that there is still no definative answers on the LSX manifold and real testing with good data proving that it works.

Has any body got some hard data to prove it is worth going ahead.

Maybe check out the Holley aluminum version so you can port and polish it to however big you need it. I know of a few guys who use it on big or blown applications like yours. I think youll be happy. Good Luck

I've seen two MTI 427ci setups with 236/236 cams gain about 20 rwhp with the 90mm version of the LSX intake. They had LS6 intakes previously. Both are in the 530-540 rwhp range.

From what I've seen, you're best option is to go with a 90 mm LSX intake. Anything else won't give you a huge improvement, save for sheet metal intakes.

I know it depends on heads, but we've been seeing better flow in the mid lifts with the LSX, but not much more at all at high lift.
