Default Coil pack compatibility....

Running a PNP AEM EMS on a standalone wire harness for 99+ fbody.

Engine is a 2001 5.3. The main Coil pack harnesses plug on the 5.3 looks the same as the 98 Fbody coil harness plug.

Should the 5.3 coils be plug and play? Or will dwell times or something similar cause an issue?

Trying to decide if I should use the 98 body coils or the 5.3 coils.

Thanks.

5.3 coils

98 ls1 coils

Either one will work, depends on what your prefer as far as looks...the heat sink coils the other guy was talking about are not worth the hype or money since u already have 8 coils too many...
