Default Valve Cover Nightmare !

Heres the deal, I ordered a pair of new valve covers so I could have them powdercoated (my old one's got messed up by a previous powdercoater). I ordered parts 12561820 and 12561819.

I received them from the sponsor and 1820 was exact but 1819 had only 1 PCV provision. I talked to the sponsor and they looked in their system and sent me out 12561818, I received it today and the box said 12561818 on it but the stamp was completely different #(cant remember off hand). Anyways I called them back and they said no problem well get the correct PN out to you, I asked them to make sure the stamp said 1818 and to make sure it had 2 pcv's. Well I got home and they left me a message telling me they don't know what to order, the part number (1818) was replaced with the new part number they sent me and thats what their system says is for my car.

Well of course Im like wtf, so I look at the old valve cover and it has a 12561822 stamped on it. So I go back to the sponsors web site and of course the part number cant be found, all other sites say the same thing.

Has anyone 'recently' ordered a new VC (passenger, center bolt) that can give me the correct PN as well as a site to order it from....

Sorry for the rant

I bought a set of used centerbolts from a member here. But heres what I got:
Passenger side- 12561822. The last digit (2) is stamped differently. Its obvious it was a design change along the line. Manufactored July 2001
Driverside- 12561823. All part # digits are stamped/cast the same. Manufactored January 2002. (also stamped again 01/21/02)

These are the correct Fbody versions with 1 PCV hole (for the grommet) on the Driver side, and 2 90 degree elbow PCV things on the Passenger side.

You can order them from the sponsor here, Scoggin Dicky (SDPC).
Or you can buy a used set for cheap. Post an ad in the PartsWanted forum and you'll find someone. Thats how I got mine

Onyxxtreme,

Thanks for your help - those are the exact numbes on my old VC's so I know Im not crazy. I'll see if anyone at SDPC knows whats going on with these numbers. I just don't see why Im running into so many problems getting my hands on 'new' passenger side cover.

Dude, have the old ones sand blasted at any machine shop and you'll be fine. Some shops also do plastic beed blasts if you are worried.

Talked to a local dealership, this is 'supposedly' the new part number for the passenger side (has 2 90deg PCV's).

PN#12570428

I'm going by today to look at it and make sure its right....
