Stock manifolds cat deletes and full exhaust VS longtubes full exhaust I'm wondering how bad the stock manifolds on an 01 SS really are after getting rid of the cats and doing a 3" offroad Y-pipe and 3" catback?
I hear the 01-02 exhaust manifolds are much better than the earlier ones?
Has anyone dynoed a car with stock manifolds, offroad Y, and a 3" catback and then swapped to longtube headers?

Yup with a good tune. I'm wondering how a good tune with stock manifolds offroad Y and catback compares to good tune and longtubes. I'm guessing 10rwhp

I think the difference would end up being more than that, even with the '01-'02 manifolds. You definitely won't get the kind of gains you would from headers. I have the O/R Y and catback only setup that you're talking about on mines, take it from me it's not worth it, get the LT's instead.
