Default Throttle Body Question....

Is the air flow rate linear with how much the butterfly is open, or does it increase exponentially the further it is opened?

Reason for asking, I have had trouble with my cruise control and finally decided to look into it. I found that my throttle was only opening ~75% when pedal fully depressed. There was slop in the cable so the cruise could not work correctly.

I made the adjustment in the middle of the cable (I have tcs) now have full throttle opening.

It feels like I found 4 more cylinders, the difference is phenomenal. Seems more pronounced than just opening 25% more.

You basically allowed it to fun WOT and allowed for more air, fuel & spark. Basically your car was running at about half of it wot potential before.
