Default How Long Did Your Cutout Motor Last?

Just curious, my Cutout motor died after like, 2 years of use. Then again, I live in the midwest, and until I bought a daily driver, the Camaro was my DD through cold, hot, snow, rain, sleet, etc. I hear this is common, and then there's the age old QTP vs DMH and all that...just wanted to see where I should get my next cutout motor from.

My first QTP motor died just after two years and very little actual use. For the entire 2year period I had an issue with the valve properly opening and closing that seemed to be attributed to a poor design. Their warranty period is ridiculously short, so don't count on that.

With all of that said, I sent my QTP in, paid for a rebuild and got the new upgraded model (hard shell casing) back in return. I've had that on the car for roughly 18 months without any issues at all. If I had to go buy another today, I would probably buy the QTP again.

My summit motor died after about 1.5 years and they replaced it free of charge. Great customer service and damn good prices.

My QTP lasted 3 years when I traded it, as far as I know it's still going...
