if you don't get 120* on the bolt should you worry.the thing won't fly off will it???? my impact only tightened it to the two oclock position.should you take it to the garage and get them to torque it another 80* or so?????

Does 120* mean 120 degrees? You really need to tighten that bolt to spec with a torque wrench. I've seen one loosen up at track because the owner didn't tighten per spec. Your call, but why risk it.

just go really snugg with a 1/2 drive ratchet (37lb.ft)then put a cheater bar on it and go 120-140 degrees. its not that bad. i have had to do it 15 time on my car on my back. i have a torque wrench for the 37lb.ft. part. but hand tight is close to 37 for me. not sure if you are a tank or not. im just average strength.

Youre supposed to put 240ftlbs with an old bolt, back it off, 37ftlbs on the new bolt. Then another 140 degrees. I know people that only get 200ftlbs on the old bolt and turn it to 100 degrees. Theyre fine. But as long as you use a new bolt, you should be okay.
