Default homemade o2 sim vs cheap sim vs real sim

ok i have to get a o2 sim. so i was looking this is what i found....

1. homemade o2 sim
http://www.rodney.chalker.com/o2_simulator.htm
First thing you need to do is go to Radio Shack or just your local electronics store for a pack of 100k resistors. You will need only one and what you can do with the rest is sell them for $40 a piece online. LOL!!! Now get five or six bodybuilders to hold up your car while you get underneath it. Find the O2 sensor on the U-Bend or wherever you may have placed it. Unplug the harness from the O2, bend the tabs up on the heat shield holding the harness, now pull enough of the harness down to get the four wires out of the conduit. The wires you need to splice into are BLACK with no stripe and PURPLE with white stripe. Now just connect one end of the 100k resistor to the BLACK wire and the other end to the PURPLE/white stripe. Tape it up good and put it like it was before you destroyed the insulation. Don't forget to plug the connector from the O2 back into the harness.

2. cheap sim

What if I have o2 sims, but they arent the right style plug? I have a 97 truck and got some o2 sims for a 99 C5 vette........problem is that on both the end of the sims and the end of the vehicles wiring harness are square male plugs (same style). How would I wire that setup to work?

MAC scanners are only scanners. All they do is read codes and delete error codes. It wont turn the O2's off, like LS1Edit

Who did you get it through and what was "tuned" at that cost?

those "cheap" o2 sim's don't work for the Ls1 vehicles, (normally) as they are looking for a fluxuating voltage, not the just lower than the fronts, (like the fords look for)

for $120, you can get at least !air !egr !rear o2's, fan temps, ect.

anything that does not adjust timing or fuel basically. You might be able to get a "performance tune" that does both, but in not sure who that $120 is talking about)
