Default True Duals with Magnaflow 10416 Bullets?

Just wondering if you guys can comment on how loud this setup would be I have a 228r cammed 5.3 and dual magnaflow 10416 bullets. I plan on running the mufflers with turn-downs dumped before the Axle. Do I need to run an X-Pipe? Will it **** off neighbors. I am trying to avoid RASP at all cost!! Which sounds better X pipe or H pipe. I want a deep tone.

H = sound. X = power

So let me get this straight... you dont "buy" an H-pipe right? Its literally some tubing welded between the duals right? Since im running dual 2.5" tubing do I want 2.5 H pipe?

The H vs X pipe argument has no end.I've had a h, now an x. Both equalize exhaust flow, but the X is marginally better for power. H makes a little deeper sound, X is a little more raspy, but also cut down on my interior resonance In my particular combo. Many late model mustangs come with an x-pipe, which contributes to their sound. Last I noticed, Nascar used an x-pipe on their unmuffled side exhaust because of the better scavenging effects.

Many other factors of course contribute to overall sound besides muffler type & pipe diameter Like tailpipe exit location,exhaust tip type, etc. Stainless also sounds a little more tinny than aluminumized steel.

You can buy or make either type of crossover.

Any competent exhaust shop can do this H pipe. If you have 2 1/2" use 2 1/4" for the cross over will be fine. Dont know if anyone has used 3" oval for the H , dont think it would give any performace difference , maybe sound.

Outside of packaging resrictions there is really no reason to go with an H over an X. The power difference is not drastic, but it exists. Why leave something so simple on the table. Rasp should be a non-issue with a good dual setup. Any cammed/LT/Bullet setup will be loud, just no way arounf it.
