Default Lock-Tite on ARP crank Bolt?

I have heard it both ways. I am doing a H/C swap and will be installing an ATI superdamper with an ARP crank bolt. Do I need to add blue lock-tite or not? also I was told to tighten the ARP bolt like the stock bolt. Is that right as it is not a torque-to-yeild bolt?

Default

The ARP fastener is not TTY so you would follow ARPs instructions. If in doubt contact them. Anything (including threadlockers) you put on the threads can affect the load the fastener sees.

Use of a medium strength threadlocker will not hurt anything. I personally would use it.
Using high strength (RED) threadlocker will require application of heat if you wish to remove the fastener.

Contact ARP for proper torque figures.
