Default Harmonic Balancer Seating?

I feel i might be a little over cautious. Im currently installing a Fbody harmonic balancer on a 05 LQ4. I seated the balancer down and went to pin the crank and though it look as if it wasn't seated all the way. From the face of the balancer to the face of the crank is .268. Is this typical seating for a Fbody balancer on a LQ4?

How did you "seat" it? With a stock crank bolt or an installer? They wont fit completely flush, but the easiest way to tell is by lining it up with the rest of the accy on the engine.

Here's the range you need to be in with a F-body balancer.
