Default When putting in a motor from the top is it easier too.....

I need to know if I should go ahead and bolt up the top half of the motor mounts to the motor and try to set the motor onto the complete mount and bolt up the 4 bolts on each side after it is in position, or if I should bolt the motor mounts onto the engine and then try and sit them onto the lower half of the mount already connected to the K member and then tighten the two main bolts?

When I did mine I left the bottom mounts attatched to the K-member and left the top side mounts out. Then I put the motor in and slid the top side of the mounts on. Worked fairly easily for me. Good luck.

I just helped a friend of mine drop one in 2 weeks ago, we bolted the mounts themselves to the engine and set the engine on the "perches" worked out great.

I'de bolt lower the engine in, with the mounts already bolted on, and just slide in the 2 long bolts when aligned up- 1 side at a time
been hella easier to me

This is what I would do. It worked like a charm while I was helping a friend.
