Default LS1 valve cover on LS3 heads

I have a LQ9 with LS3 cylinder heads. I got a pair of LS1 valve covers and noticed the passenger side baffle hits the off set rocker arms. So I removed the baffle and clearanced the valve cover to clear the rock arms. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should run a oil catch can for the PCV system. I have the stock valley pan cover with NO vent. I'm also running a carbureted manifold. Anybody have a diagram for a oil catch can set up? Vented or non vented can?

yes. cap off the PCV ports on the cover and draw crankcase vacuum from the valley cover.

I too found out the hard way I had to cut the baffles out lol.

I currently have the stock valley cover with no vacuum port. Is there another way to route the hoses from the valve covers to a oil canister?
