4" have rasp?

4" have rasp? Currently running a 3" car back, and am tired if the rasp. I know the only for sure way to get rid of it is to run true duals, which I would love to do with a one chamber, but I have the bmr trak pak and I don't think its possible to do it with that x-arm. So, would a 4" system have the same raspy sound as the 3" y pipe cat back systems do?
