Recoating headers
I have a set of hooker long tubes for my LT1. They are nasty with probably 50% of the coating gone. Who recoats headers these days. Or is there some DIY that can be done? I seen VHT(I think) has some header coating out now that is suppose to stay on.

If you have any local powder coating shops contact them, many of them also do high temperature exhaust coatings. Most DIY rattle can high temperature spray coating won't last very long before the coating starts to break down, but it does coast a lot less.

Jet-Hot will still take your old headers, clean them up, and ceramic coat them in all kinds of different colors and finishes. They are the best but aren't cheap. If you call they will quickly give you a quote on coating whatever you have.

He's happy with how they look, but for the price of having a set of headers done I'd just but some TSP 1 7/8's while there on sale, I think the price goes up $50 Saturday and back to full price the next week.
