Default Thread size , Starter wire nut ?

Does anyone know the thread size for the small post ( ignition switch ) Wire. Went to hook up the wires and don't have a nut. Not exactly the easiest place to measure it , and really don't want to remove the starter if I don't have to. Just gonna order a box of them when I know the size. Stan.

I don't know the size.
Do you have a jar full of nuts? One of them is bound to fit.

I'm sure that I got one somewhere around here , I got a nut and bolt collection that most Gearheads would kill for, and mostly in stainless. But I don't have this one. I found one that is close that measured out to be 10-32. It was so close that I could just jam it on , but I don't do work like that. Besides what I want is a Stainless Nylock Locknut, so the tap that fits the nut that don't fit measures at 4.85 MM , The next size up is 5MM so ordered a box of them from McMaster Carr I will know Tomorrow for sure when they get here.

I'm really **** about Wireing , Pluming , and Fasteners . That stuff got to be just right or it will drive Me nuts !

Most times, a search on Yahoo or similar works better than the search on Ls1Tech, even though the search returns a post on Ls1Tech.

Last post on this calls the small nut an M5. (didn't mention pitch)
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...ator-nuts.html

This one says M5x 0.8

You'll know for sure, tomorrow!

Yep, M5x 0.8 that's the size I ordered last Night along with a box of the star washers to make good contact. A box of 50 stainless nylock nuts was only $6 really not worth My time searching the Garage for one that I know is there "somewheres".

If this keeps up , gonna hafta get another Bolt binn this one is 4 ft wide and 6ft tall with 96 binns and it's dam near full .
